Pulling back naturally curly hair always means that sooner or later your curls will be stretched out and will therefore be loosing its curl pattern. Most of the time when I pull back my curls I try to do so not too tightly, because I like my natural curl pattern to be visible. However, if I just normally pull back my type 3a-curls my curl pattern will be gone within a few hours. In this post I would like to show you how to avoid exactly this!
This tip is especially helpful, if you (just like me) have type 2-3a curls, because our hair is straightened quite easily. This also means, that our curls can easily loose their curl pattern when pulled on too much. This is why I like pulling my curls back in a way that prevents this from happening.
To pull back your curls this way, you’ll need:
- 1 small hair tie
- 1 bigger hair tie
This way your ponytail will look the same during the whole day without your curls stretching out!
