Two easy ways to keep your curls back

Hi curlies, today I’d like to show you two really easy hairstyles to keep your curls back. They each take less than 5 minutes to do and I promise they’re super easy!

Although I prefer wearing my curls open and not pulling them back at all, it can sometimes be really annoying when my curls keep falling into my face, which is why I like to keep them back. Today’s hairstyles are a great if you’d like to keep your curls back without actually pulling them back in a (half-) updo!

btw: the two hairstyles are also a good way to keep your bangs back in case you have any.

Hairstyle 1:
keep your curls back

Just grab a small amount of hair right next to your parting line and pull it back by fixing it with 2-3 bobby pins.

Hairstyle 2:
keep your curls back

If you like braids, just braid a small section from right next to your parting line and fix it with 2-3 bobby pins.

Have fun trying them!

I do both of these a lot because I love side parts but I hate when the hair on the larger side of the part always falls into my face >_<

Yes, that’s exactly why I also do these hairstyles!

I discovered your blog a while ago and I love it!

I saw that you buy your products at I really want to order there too, but the shipping costs are so high to the Netherlands (about 40 dollars or something). That makes it really expensive.

Do you have to pay that much on shipping costs? And do you know some other websites where they sell good products? I really want to order Devacurl, I love that brand.

Thank you, Lisette! I know, their shipping costs are really high making it expensive to order there. However, I still do, because I like to order different brands and they have almost every curly-hair-brand… Whenever I order products, I try to order as many as possible to reduce shipping costs (not overall, but per product).

I’ve never ordered my products somewhere else, which is why I can’t make any recommendations…

        Thanks for your answer.

I can imagine that you still order, they have so much!
        I think I’ll give it a try. 🙂

In addition to the 2 above, I also do a twist to make sure my shorter hairs stay. Plus it looks really pretty and it can make any hairstyle fancier.
I just found your blog and I really like it since I have similar curls. Plus it’s nice to know that there are other curly girls out there that do the same techniques that I have been using for years. But I have enjoyed reading about some of your techniques and I can’t wait to try them.

Hi Lindsey, it’s great to hear from you! I also really like twists, especially if you have shorter hair it’s a great way to keep them in the hairstyle 🙂
