I just uploaded a new video on YouTube! In the video, I show you how I brush my curly hair. I changed my brushing routine a bit: I actually started using a brush instead of finger-detangling and am super happy with it. I’m sure the brush has helped me to not only brush my curls faster but has also made detangling less painful!
So here’s the video:
Why is it faster and less painful?
I believe that the brush itself is a real game changer! I’ve know that kind of brush as “Tangle Teezer” (of course that’s just the brand…). However, I don’t think it matters what brand you’re getting. This brush really speeds up detangling, plus I feel like I’m even shedding less.
When is the best time to brush your curls?
If you’re looking for curls that clump and if you’re trying to reduce frizz to a minimum, it’s probably best to brush your curls while they’re soaking wet and covered in conditioner (=while washing your hair). If at some point you feel like it’s getting harder to get through your curls, just re-wet your curls and re-apply conditioner.
If you prefer to brush your curls while they are dry, I think it’s best to immediately also wash them afterwards. Otherwise you will end up with a lot of frizz and undefined curls… 😉
On a personal note..
If you’ve been following me for a while you know that I’ve been absent for a very long time now. I just didn’t find the time to keep up this blog or my YouTube next to my job, because I am now also a mother of two lovely boys. They’re now 2 and 3 years old and I finally feel like I can find the time blog about curly hair again!
